The Dragon Ball phenomenon began in 1984 when the famous Japanese manga by Akira Toriyama
was created in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump". Since then, the popularity of the manga has continued to grow with a record 260 million copies sold worldwide.
With its steady rise in popularity, Dragon Ball has expanded beyond manga to include television animation, films, video games, and merchandising. In the fall of 2024, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball, a new series will be released worldwide, thus marking the history of Dragon Ball, which has continued to evolve to aim for greater heights!
